EYU parents and Year 1 parents should take their children into the classroom and settle them for the day. All other children are collected from the playground by the class teacher. Parents should wait with them until they are collected.

EYU parents and Year 1 parents collect their children from the classroom doors at 3.30 p.m. (3.25 p.m. for Y1). All other year groups are collected in the playground. Parents/careers must make sure that their child says goodbye to their teacher. The teacher will need to see the adult before they allow the child to leave them. Year 5 and Year 6 children can go home unaccompanied if parental permission has been given. Children who go home for dinner should arrive back at 1.25 p.m.

Regular and punctual attendance is very important at Columbia School. Children who are late miss an important part of the day and disturb the learning of other children with their late arrival.

Children who are late will be met by the learning mentors in the lobby area to get their attendance mark for the day. Parents should not accompany their children into school but leave them at the office.

Holidays in school time are never allowed.  Columbia School implements the statutory Local Authority Policy for Fixed Penality Fines.

All absences must be reported to the school on the morning of the absence.

Call 020 7739 3835. Dentist, doctor and hospital appointments require a appointment letter or card before they can be authorised.
